Attempt Burglary Near You -Meadowcroft Rise

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of an attempt burglary that occurred on Meadowcroft Rise, this occurred on Thursday 5th February in the evening approximately 2010hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock to try and allow entry.

unknown suspects have snapped the rear door lock, victim has head a bang and gone to look, seen two males in balaclavas, both have run off taking half if door handle panel with them.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 5th February around 2000hrs  to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
